My Family's Sombrero

This photo is my dad's family. Famillia Anzures.

They are from Oaxaca, Mexico.

The weather is very hot and dry.
They lived in a very small town with about 60 homes.

They made handwoven sombreros made from palm leaves to sell. This sombrero was made in Oaxaca by the Anzures family.

They worked their land growing corn, beans, and squash. Now we have a small ranch here in Sonoma County.

I am proud of my of my family. I love Oaxaca! I love Sonoma County
