A Woven Memory from Taiwan

From 1993 to 1998, since I was young, I enjoyed cruising the Petaluma River on the paddlewheel boat the Petaluma River Queen.

On board, the thrill of watching the paddlewheel go 'round and push us forward down the river was something I looked forward to on many occasions.

I became a regular customer. One time, on my ninth birthday, I missed the departure time. One of the dock crew radioed ahead where I was told to meet the boat at the Foundry Wharf.

I rushed to meet up and sure enough they pulled over to bring me on board! I, and my family, have many lasting and wonderful memories of heading down the Petaluma RIver on the Petaluma River Queen.
